Kenneth Flores is the CEO of San Antonio-based, Allegiance Environmental Services - a leader in commercial cleaning services specializing in hospital housekeeping for medical treatment facilities.
Rey Feo LXX Ken Flores and his Royal Court are honored to engage with the San Antonio community leading up to and during Fiesta 2018 and the city’s Tricentennial by encouraging youth to pursue higher education, make healthy choices to support a lifestyle of wellness, and stimulate learning through “Exploration through Education.” Ken is grateful for the opportunity to share his personal experiences and professional achievements through his completion of higher education to inspire San Antonio’s schoolchildren to continue on a path to success.
Ken is proud to be continuing a family legacy of Fiesta service. His father Antonio Flores, Jr. served as Rey Feo XLVIII in 1996, and the same year, his sister Lorrie (Flores) Tijerina served as Reina de la Feria de las Flores – making their reign the first father-daughter Rey Feo and La Reina duo to celebrate Fiesta simultaneously. In 2018, Ken’s daughter, Ariana, will serve as Reina de la Feria de las Flores – and the two will be the second father-daughter Rey Feo and La Reina. His mother, Irma Flores, was the first Hispanic woman to serve as President of the Fiesta San Antonio Commission in 2003, and that same year Ken served El Rey Feo LV Dr. Leonel Reyes as his Special Events Minister.
Ken attended Mount Sacred Heart School, Tom C. Clark High School and earned a BA in marketing from St. Mary’s University in 1996. While at St. Mary’s Ken stayed active on campus by participating on the golf team, guitar ensemble and Sigma Phi Epsilon (Sig Ep) fraternity.
As a professional in the environmental services industry, Ken is committed to continuing his education. He maintains the designations of Registered Executive Housekeeper (REH) through the International Executive Housekeepers Association, Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) through the American Hospital Association, and Certified Laundry & Linen Management (CLLM) through the Association for Linen Management (ALM). He also volunteers his time as an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the Rey Feo Consejo Educational Foundation, which supports the educational activities of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Rey Feo Scholarship Inc.
Ken and his wife Donna are celebrating 21 years of marriage. They stay busy raising their five children: Ariana, a junior at St. Mary’s University; Tristan, a sophomore at Texas Tech University; Mia, a 7th grader at Hobby Middle School; and Farah, a 5th grader and Delilah, a 1st grader - both at Blattman Elementary School. When Ken is not traveling for work he finds joy celebrating life by hosting neighborhood festivities for Shavano Park, preparing gourmet meals for family and friends, boating at Canyon Lake, and competing in athletic events - especially endurance obstacle runs.
